British specialists held a two-day course in Maternity Clinic of MC Erebouni.
Experts from the UK, neonatal nurse educator Kate Mallory, chief speech pathologist and lactation consultant Annie Aloysius, nurse and lactation consultant Keron Platonos held a course in Maternity Clinic of MC Erebouni on lactation and breastfeeding. The purpose of the meeting was to increase the knowledge of medical staff regarding breastfeeding, and pass on the experience of advanced countries. The neonatal team of MC Erebouni considers it extremely important to have milk in the breast of the mother and feeding the baby during the first days and weeks of the child’s life. The initiative to welcome world-class specialists to Armenia belongs to newly appointed Head of Neonatal Care Department of Maternity Clinic of MC Erebouni Dr. Pavel Mazmanyan. These and other initiatives are aimed at providing care and medical aid with modern approaches for both sick and healthy newborns.
