The first patient by a helicopter from Armenia's remote region reached Yerevan today
Under a framework of “Fast Response” Service of outbound emergency medical care of Ministry of Health RA, the first patient by a helicopter from Armenia's remote region reached Yerevan, MC Erebouni, and then moved to Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center by ambulance.
According to preliminary information, the patient was 13 year old boy with multiple fractures, including brain injury. The patient`s condition was stable.
After getting a call, the team of Emergency Service of MC Erebouni went after the child by helicopter. Mouth to Mouth Resuscitation Device was switched on immediately, neck collar was placed, anesthesia was given. During the entire flight, hemodynamic parameters were normal. The transfer was carried out without any problems.
Two hours after the call, the baby was already in Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center. This was the first case under the new program of the Ministry of Health, which made it possible to shorten the time several times, provide quick and professional care to the patient.
