Biography
Harutyun Kushkyan was born on April 14, 1956, in Yerevan, Armenia
In 1963 to 1973 he completed his primary and secondary education at A.S. Pushkin secondary school.
From 1973 to 1980, he pursued his medical studies at the Yerevan State Medical Institute's medical faculty
In 1980-1981, he completed his internship at the 2nd Emergency Hospital in Yerevan
Until 1984, he worked as an emergency physician at the Ashtarak Central Regional Hospital
In 1984-1985, he served as a resident doctor in the thoracic surgery department of the 2nd Emergency Hospital in Yerevan
In 1986, he became the head of the Endocrine Surgery Department at Erebuni Hospital, where he worked until 1992. During 1990-1992, he also held the position of chief physician
In 1992, he founded the "Erebuni" Medical Center, which he managed until 2007
He served as the head of the military medical department of the RA Defense Ministry in 1995-1996 and was a deputy of the RA National Assembly from 1995 to 1999
In 2002, he founded the "Nairi" Medical Center and managed it until 2007
Since 2003, he has been the head of the Department of Endocrine Surgery at the National Health Institute of the RA Ministry of Health
Since 2005 he has been chairing the medical commission of the RA Olympic Committee
From 2007 to 2012, he held the position of Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia
In 2014-2016, he served as the Minister of Health of the Republic of Artsakh

1988 Candidate's thesis on "Surgical treatment of diffuse toxic goiter with the use of immunomodulators"
1993 doctor's thesis on the topic "Correction of the function of the heart and the immune system in some diseases of the thyroid gland"
1993 professor of the Department of Surgery N°1 Yerevan State Medical University
