1978, completed her studies at the Yerevan State Medical Institute, earning a diploma with honors.
1984-1987, pursued her studies in Moscow at the post-graduate program of the Institute of Rheumatology under the USSR Academy of Sciences.
1987, successfully presented her doctoral dissertation on the subject of "Clinical Evaluation of Antibodies to RNA-Protein Complex in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus."
1993-1994, underwent training at the Department of Rheumatology, Cochin Hospital, Paris.
