Erebouni MCin collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Department of Neurology of the Armenian National Institute of Health and the Armenian Sleep Disorders Association celebrated the day,at 10 AM at the intersection of North Avenue and Abovyan Street passers-by have drawn attention to the issues of stroke prevention and overall healthy living.Specialists of the Stroke Team of MC Erebouni together with Stroke Team of " Heratsi" University Hospital · Clinic talked with passers-by, measured blood pressure, determined blood glucose levels, assessed the risks of stroke with the help of a questionnaire, carried out duplex scan of the carotid artery.
In addition to assessing health status, passers-by were given leaflets, advice on reducing stroke risk factors, including the symptoms of stroke and what to do at the first signs.
To note, the state program for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke started in Armenia on February 1this year, by which citizens are treated free of charge within the framework of the state order.
All the necessary conditions are provided for the treatment of stroke at Erebouni MC.
The Stroke Team works on 24/7 basis, the medical center is equipped with the newest generation computed tomography (CT) and Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
The program includes computed and magnetic resonance tomography, thrombolysis and / or thrombectomy. Since February 1, 254 citizens applied to Erebouni MC under the state stroke program.
