If the pain is acute, it means that the stone blocks the ureter and causes the kidney to expand, while chronic dull pain indicates a kidney stone that causes pain from time to time. Treatment methods vary depending on the size of the stone. One of the most applicable methods is lithotripsy by using a ureterorenoscope.
