Toxicosis during pregnancy
Dr. Ani Anaronyan, obstetrician-gynecologist of the Center for Women's Health of MC Erebouni, explains this important topic for pregnant women.
Toxicosis during pregnancy occurs in the first trimester of pregnancy. The development of the ovum and a number of hormonal, metabolic and neurosurgical changes occurring in a woman's body play a serious role in the occurrence of toxicosis.
Toxicosis manifests itself in the form of nausea and vomiting. 50-70% of pregnant women have similar phenomena, but only 8-10% of them are subject to treatment. In moderate and severe cases, a pregnant woman is indicated for inpatient treatment with the use of certain medications.
