At Erebuni Medical Center, we understand that every second counts when it comes to saving lives. That’s why we’re introducing a pioneering Emergency Medical Care Specialist qualification in Armenia. In collaboration with Sharon Anush Chekijian, an associate professor at Yale University’s Department of Emergency and Emergency Medicine, we’re launching a unique program that will transform the landscape of emergency medical services in Armenia.
This course aims to establish a globally recognized model of emergency care in Armenia. It trains specialists to make swift, accurate decisions and perform under pressure—skills that are crucial in life-saving situations. This qualification is the first of its kind in Armenia.
Erebuni’s specialists are already putting this training into practice through simulated life-saving operations, with a focus on thoracic surgery. The course will cover a broad range of medical fields, from cardiology to gastroenterology, ensuring that emergency care is comprehensive and effective.
Previously, emergency patients were seen by narrow-specialty doctors for further evaluation. With this new program, a single specialist will oversee the entire examination, diagnosis, and treatment process, speeding up care in critical moments when minutes matter.
The Emergency Medical Care Department at Erebuni is distinct in its structure, working methods, and state-of-the-art equipment, setting a new standard in the country.
Every day, patients from across Armenia and Yerevan rely on this service for fast, efficient care. The knowledge and expertise shared by our international partners will elevate the department to a high international standard, improving emergency medical services across Armenia.
Ultimately, our goal is clear: to make the right decisions quickly and save lives, all in the best interest of our patients.
