More than 1049 patients with acute ischemic stroke received treatment in the MC Erebouni for 3 years. Since February 1, 2019, the state program of free medical care for acute ischemic stroke has been launched. From the very first day, MC Erebouni became a leader in the implementation of the program. The Stroke Center has been reorganized, which includes two teams-a neurological team led by the head of the Neurological Department, Dr. Nune Yeghiazaryan, and a neurosurgical team led by the head of Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery, Dr. David Sahakyan. It should be noted that the success is also due to the fact that these interventions in the MC Erebouni began in 2014, as a result of which important experience was accumulated before the implementation of the state program. Thus, MC Erebouni is the leader in the region in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke.
