On 6th November in Yerevan, in one of the hotel complexes held opening ceremony of the conference organized by MC Erebouni. The conference was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Cardiology Service of MC Erebouni.
The cardiologists of the leading cardiologic centers of Yerevan, different regions of Armenia and Artzakh participated on the conference. The conference was mainly designed for cardiologists, family doctors, therapists and general practitioners. A total of 250 specialists attended the conference.
According to the organizers, the participants will be awarded certificates and credits of continuing professional development by Ministry of Health of RA.
During the three-day conference achievements in medicine, particularly in cardiology were presented, the interesting clinical cases were discussed.
Chief Cardiologist ( Ministry of Health of RA), Head of Cardiology Center of MC Erebouni, Professor Hamlet Hayrapetyan:
- For a reputable clinic a 30 years of course a small age, because the history of a serious university hospitals has centuries duration. However, for these 30 years we have been able to do more, than can be made. It should be noted, that these were years of radical changes - we came up with the times, tried to correspond to international standards, one after another were opened new departments etc. We have achieved a lot.
We have both scientific and clinical achievments, we have participated in international conferences, published articles in international journals, implemented new methodology and techniques in Armenia. By the way, a few months ago, was opened the Intensive Care Unit with up to date technical equipment.
Chairman of the Association of Cardiologists of Armenia Academician, Professor Karlen Adamyan (MD, PhD):
- 400 million years of existence of the world proved that for the survival is necessary the improvement. For us 30 years was enough to realize, that we are on the right way. As I mentioned in my opening speech, we have had evolutionary development, but revolutionary development I don`t accept. I think that people with such point of view are considered to be conservatives. They say, that who didn`t want to become a revolutioner in young age of life is devoid of heart, but who didn`t become a conservative in adulthood age - is deprived of mind.
Similarly, as in Hegel`s philosophy - the truth is seen in practice. There was established the modern center, which today holds the leading position in the country, were opened the departments of invasive interventions, where new surgical methods are applied.
Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of department of Cardiosurgical methods of diagnosis and treatment of heart and vessels of Institute of Cardiosurgery of Moscow, President of the Russian Scientific Society of Endovascular surgeons, Academician Professor Bagrat Alekyan:
- 30 years is undoubtedly a young age, however, the great work has been done during this time, registered great achievements and successes. This Cardiologic Clinic is one of the leaders in Armenia. The main achievement is that here is not applied the standard approaches to the treatment.
Science develops, and for instance, nowadays, myocardial infarction is not treated in the way, that was done 50 years ago. In Cardiology Center of MC Erebouni the treatment is provided with using the latest technologies. It is also encouraging, that experienced and young professionals work here.
