The delegation headed by the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko together with the Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan visited MC Erebouni. The Ministers of Health of Armenia and Russia were received by the founder of MC Erebouni, Professor Harutyun Kushkyan. The guests visited the medical center, got acquainted with the capabilities and technical equipment of the largest medical institution in the Republic. The Angiography Service of MC Erebouni bears the name of our compatriot academician of the Russian Federation Bagrat Alekyan, by the way, Bagrat Alekyan is also part of the delegation of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The members of the delegation also visited the regional Stroke Center opened this year, where a unique artificial intelligence device -Artis ICONO with great opportunities for performing unique neurosurgical surgeries - was installed.
It is also a training center where foreign doctors acquire skills to work on a unique device. Harutyun Kushkyan presented the achievements of the medical center, professional potential, and outlined new prospects for cooperation with Russian colleagues.
Major state life-saving programs - "Stent for life", "Stroke", as well as "Medical aviation" programs were affected. RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan stressed the importance of cooperation with medical organizations in the context of the implementation of the Ministry's programs.
The Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko paid special attention to the style of work of MC Erebouni, especially technical equipment, and stressed its importance in modern medicine, noting that today it is impossible to develop medicine without investment. The head of MC Erebouni Harutyun Kushkyan and the head of The National Medical Research Center of Surgery named after A. Vishnevsky Amiran Revishvili signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which will make efforts to improve the effectiveness of treatment of diseases, as well as the development of scientific and practical surgery. The head of MC Erebouni Harutyun Kushkyan and the head of the National Medical Research Center for Cardiology named after academician Yevgeniy Chazov Sergey Boytsov signed another Memorandum aimed at the development of the field of cardiology.
According to the memorandum, the parties will cooperate in the framework of general and interventional cardiology, as well as in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiological diseases.
Summing up the meeting, Mikhail Murashko expressed satisfaction with the long-term and developing relations in the healthcare sector of Armenia and Russia, and expressed hope that cooperation with the medical center will expand in other areas.
