Together with the founder of MC Erebouni, Professor Harutyun Kushkyan, the Minister toured the halls of the department, got acquainted with the new working conditions, service capabilities, as well as technical equipment.
The creation of a department, which has no analogues in Armenia, has become an imperative both in connection with the increase in the number of patients and in terms of creating a qualitatively new emergency service. The creation of a new service is based on the idea of accessibility of medical care to the patient.
The head of the department Dr. Armine Sanamyan presented Anahit Avanesyan with a new procedure for admitting a patient who applied to the medical center urgently. In particular, she presented that in case of myocardial infarction, suspicion of acute ischemic stroke or in other urgent cases, special criteria will be applied to provide fast and high-quality medical care. After visiting the 1st and 2nd halls, the Minister also got acquainted with the diagnostic services of the department. The Scientific Director of Radiology Center Kostan Galumyan said that the programs are aligned with the requirements of accurate diagnosis in emergency cases, which is especially important for the diagnosis of patients with the state program of acute ischemic stroke.
The Minister was informed about another innovation introduced in the department, from now on, not only doctors of the department will be on duty in the Emergency Department, but also narrow specialists and radiologists, for whom comfortable working conditions are provided.
Such a format of the emergency department being the first in the republic, will complete the chain of professional services provided by MC Erebouni, becoming a precedent for other medical institutions.
