One of the best cardiologists in the world is along with doctors of MC Erebouni. For Professor Bagrat Alekyan, President of the Russian Scientific Society of Interventional Radiologists and Endovascular Surgeons, MC Erebouni is a familiar place, but mostly this part. A few years ago, the Department of Angiography was named after the well-known cardiologist. Bagrat Alekyan comes to MC Erebouni every time he visits Armenia, even when he has come to his homeland for rest. Complicated cases during the visit do not surprise the doctor, but he is surprised by the number of stents implanted. 1650 stent placement was performed in MC Erebouni last year, it is 30% of all stent implantations in the republic. Most of the stent implants are being carried out at MC Erebouni in recent years under the state program of acute myocardial infarction. All of this has contributed to a serious change in the statistics of both death and disability in the republic. Department of Angiography of MC Erebouni is now one step ahead, performing stent implantation for not only cardiovascular but also various organ diseases. The annual number of interventions is about 2,000.
